Iranian Oil Minister Javad Owji, and Minister of Roads and Urban Development Mehrdad Bazrpash accompanied the first vice president, Mohammad Mokhber on his trip to Kyrgyzstan to attend the 22nd Meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Member States.
During this trip, they met and held talks with the ministers of energy and transport of this country at the request of the Kyrgyz side.
In this meeting, Kyrgyzstan demanded the participation of Iran, especially the Ministry of Oil, in the modernization and reconstruction of one of the country’s refineries.
In addition to announcing its need for petroleum products, especially gasoline, oil gas, jet fuel, and white oil, Kyrgyzstan also wanted Iran to supply bitumen for its road construction projects.
Iran’s Minister of Oil asked the Kyrgyz side to announce the details of the need in terms of volume and quality standards more precisely in order to start cooperation with this country based on the plan.
