188 new coronavirus infections have been reported in India, while the number of active cases have decreased to 2,554 according to data released on Thursday by the Union health ministry. The total number of Covid cases is 4,46,79,319, and the death toll is 5,30,710, with three deaths reconciled by Kerala according to figures updated at 8 a.m.

The weekly positivity is estimated at 0.12%, while the daily positivity is 0.10 percent, the ministry reported.

According to the website of the health ministry, the number of active cases is 0.01 percent of all infections, while the national recovery rate has improved to 98.80 percent.

The number of patients who have recovered from the infection has climbed to 4,41,46,055, while the case fatality rate has been recorded at 1.19 percent, and that there has been a decline of 16 cases in the active Covid caseload in a span of 24 hours.

220.12 crore doses of the Covid vaccination have reportedly been given in the nation so far, according to the ministry’s website. It exceeded the 60 lakh milestone on September 28, the 70 lakh mark on October 11, the 80 lakh mark on October 29, the 90 lakh mark on November 20, and the 1 crore mark on December 19, 2020.

India reached the two-crore threshold on May 4, three crore cases on June 23, 2021, and four crore cases on January 25 of this year.
