Tens of thousands have been evacuated in India and Pakistan as parts of the countries brace for an extremely severe cyclone to hit on Thursday evening. Biparjoy – a cyclone over the Arabian Sea – is forecast to make landfall in Kutch in the western Indian state of Gujarat. Air India on Tuesday said it had closed its internal investigations into the actions of its staff during the incident involving passenger Shankar Mishra, who allegedly urinated on his co-passenger on board flight from New York to Delhi on November 26. Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and former Mumbai mayor Kishori Pednekar, along with four others, were on Saturday booked by the Nirmal Nagar police in the city for allegedly cheating the Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA). An IndiGo flight from Madurai to Delhi was diverted to the Indore airport after a 60-year-old passenger’s health deteriorated mid-air on Saturday evening, a senior official said.
